Post-free agency NFL power rankings: Experts evaluate Colts' roster

With free agency mostly behind us now, NFL analysts have put together their latest power rankings, taking into account the additions and subtractions from each roster. So where do the Indianapolis Colts land in these latest rankings? It was an active free agency period for GM Chris Ballard, who re-signed a number of the team's own free agents, while also making nine outside additions.

But has this team improved? Retaining Daniel Jones and Alec Pierce was important, but they were also on the team last year. And even with all the additions made, questions still linger.

The Colts boosted their defensive end depth, but didn't find that high-impact presence to pair with Laiatu Latu. The depth at linebacker, wide receiver, and the offensive line are major question marks. We also don't know if Ballard adequately addressed the safety position.

With a modest seven selections in the NFL draft, including just two picks in the top 100, maximizing the Colts' picks will be a must for Ballard. The belief is that the success that the Colts had through the first half of last season can be replicated and sustained. But is this roster in a better place to accomplish that?
