The Boston Celtics ’ superstar forward has looked solid when on the floor, outside of his struggles when shooting the rock from deep. Of course, some bumps are to be expected as he continues to ramp up and build his fitness back to an NBA level. When looking beyond his scoring, Tatum has been a highly impactful addition to the rotation.
He’s defending at a high level, reading the floor well, making smart and timely passes and controlling the defensive glass. Once his shots start to fall, the Celtics will be in a strong position heading into the playoffs. During a recent episode of “The Big 3 NBA Podcast,” Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe gave his early grade for Tatum and the value he’s added to the Celtics rotation since returning earlier this month.
"I give him a solid B,” Washburn said. “He hasn't had any setbacks. He's played okay.
