Kentucky Wildcats News: Basketball Coaching and Front Office Moves
The offseason is in full swing with several moves already made by the men’s basketball program.
Good morning, BBN! The offseason is just getting tipped off, and the Kentucky Wildcats already have plenty of rumors swirling around the program. With Assistant Coaches rumored to be heading to other programs and roster conversations already started, the front office becomes majorly important as we head into transfer portal season.
Well, the fanbase can now jump for joy, as the first hire has been made by Mark Pope. With Keegan Brown now on staff, helping in roster and player development, the question still remains: Will there be an actual GM added to the program? That is the question surrounding UK this offseason, and one we need an answer to very quickly.
With Brown getting added early, that does give some hope heading into portal season. Will it make a difference in how this roster performs next season? Let’s hope so.
In addition, assistant coach Jason Hart departed for SMU. Hired to be a game-changer on the recruiting trail, Hart never was able to reel in that big fish he was hired to get. His contract was also set to expire, so this could have been a mutual parting.
