Former Alabama running back reportedly signs with Atlanta Falcons

Former Alabama running back Brian Robinson Jr. is reportedly expected to sign with the Atlanta Falcons, per CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz . Robinson has had an excellent NFL career following his time with the Tide in Tuscaloosa.

The talented running back thrived throughout his first three seasons in the league with the Washington Commanders, as Robinson saw an extremely limited amount of playing time last year while playing behind Christian McCaffrey as a member of the San Francisco 49ers. The former Alabama star could potentially shine in the Falcons backfield next season as well, as Robinson will serve as the ultimate complement to star running back Bijan Robinson. Robinson was a superstar at Alabama from 2017-21.

The talented playmaker won a national championship with the Tide in 2017 and 2020, as Robinson’s true breakout campaign came in 2021 when he totaled an extremely impressive 1,343 yards and 14 touchdowns in 14 games. Robinson will look to turn things around in Atlanta next season following an underwhelming campaign in San Francisco last year, as the former Alabama star could shine as a member of the Falcons in 2026.
