They're set in the blocks. The 27 candidates for the Fans Preseason Boys Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year have been stars for a long time. The list includes state champions, Division 1 commits, longtime standouts and up and coming stars.
There are 16 schools represented led by three options each from Hopedale, Hopkinton and Westborough. Framingham, Holliston, Medway, Natick and Nipmuc also have multiple choices. The poll will remain open for a week until noon Wednesday, April 1.
