Florida basketball shifts attention to key roster questions
Here's how the NBA draft and graduation could impact Florida's roster next season.
The season’s end wasn’t what Florida basketball had hoped. The Gators weren’t able to follow through on the lofty task of repeating as national champs, but still made it a memorable season by winning the SEC regular season outright for the first time in 12 years. Still, UF’s early exit from the NCAA tournament wasn’t the ideal ending, and now all eyes shift to the future of Florida’s roster.
Here’s an analysis of who could not be on next season’s team. Who is graduating? After one season, transfer guard Xaivian Lee’s tenure with Florida is over.
In his lone season, he averaged 11. 6 points, 4. 2 assists and 3.
7 rebounds. Yet Lee is the only certain loss to the backcourt. Center Micah Handlogten is technically out of eligibility, but an NCAA medical waiver could grant him another season.
