SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — The Angelo State University women’s tennis team is built for the future, but the Belles are already making a lot of headlines despite the fact that they don’t have any upperclassmen. ASU is 14-0 overall, which is the best start in program history, and the Belles are 1-0 in the Lone Star Conference. Sophomores Benedetta Raggiotti and Margaux Rene are the only returning players from last year’s team that started out 12-0 before getting cooled off in conference play.
The Belles will wrap up the regular season with nine LSC matchups, including six at home, beginning with a showdown against Cameron at 11 a. m. Friday.
