AllenÕs Mason Leslie (14) and Arlington Sam HoustonÕs Osman Vasquez (25) Boys Soccer face off at Strandridge Stadium in Carrollton, Texas, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. (Allison Slomowitz/Special Contributor) CARROLLTON – They did it again. Less than a week after James Mastrangelo's match-winning goal in the dying seconds against Hebron, Allen advanced past Arlington Sam Houston , 2-1, thanks to Mason Leslie's go-ahead goal with under a minute left to play.
Hunting for a winner late, Allen played a deep ball to Daniel Mogeni and the ball flicked on to an on-running Leslie. The junior forward drove towards goal and eventually cut inside before finishing with his right foot for the match-winner. In celebration, Leslie pulled off his shirt and the Allen bench emptied onto the track of Standridge Stadium to celebrate in front of the student section.
"I know I had it," Leslie said. "I saw one defender on me, so I had to cut in and shoot it. It's just excitement.
It's crazy. "We did it last week. We scored with 13 seconds last week so anything's possible.
