NFL analyst urges Jaguars to reunite with 6-time Pro Bowler for 2026 originally appeared on The Sporting News . Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here . The Jacksonville Jaguars have been one of the quietest teams in the league during free agency so far.

The team's lone signing this month has been depth running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. Surely, the team will make some moves before the season begins considering there are several holes to fill. Zachary Perales of CBS Sports recently identified one free agent each team should still sign, and for the Jaguars , Perales suggested reuniting with a franchise legend- Calais Campbell.

Campbell played for the Jaguars from 2017 to 2019 as part of the elite "Sacksonville" defense. The veteran defensive lineman earned Pro Bowl selections during all three of his seasons in Jacksonville and is one of the best defenders in franchise history. Regarding this potential reunion, Perales offered the following: The Jaguars have Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker leading the pass rush, but they desperately need more up front.

Reuiniting with Campbell would give them some much-needed interior pocket pushing ability, and the same goes for McDonald, who is 25th in CBS Sports' NFL Draft Prospect Rankings. Jacksonville lost a lot in free agency and needs to make it up in other places. Without a first-round pick, the Jaguars need to get resourceful.
