But just when it feels like the division is running out of new blood, a rare, cerebral, freak of an athlete like Anthony Wint emerges — and suddenly, there’s hope again. Wint (6-0), a former NFL linebacker for the New York Jets, has transitioned into MMA with serious momentum.
But like many former football players making that jump, the road wasn’t easy — especially because he’s been playing the sport for his entire life. “It was tough, man, obviously, being the person that I am,” Wint told MMAmania. com.
