The Georgia Bulldogs baseball team suffered a historic 10-7 loss vs. the Kennesaw State Owls on Tuesday evening

The Georgia Bulldogs baseball team has had several upset losses over their season, but this past one might take the cake. On Tuesday, March 24, the No. 7 Bulldogs (20-6, 4-2 SEC) lost to the Kennesaw State Owls (11-10) .

Georgia's 10-7 loss to Kennesaw State came at Foley Field. This marks their first loss against Kennesaw State since 2021 and the first home loss against the Owls since 2017. The score doesn't tell how badly this game went for Georgia.

They were down 9-0 by the middle of the seventh inning, in danger of getting run-ruled. Kennesaw State scored one run in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth, one in the sixth, and four in the seventh. Georgia made a comeback to avoid an early ending to the game.

They scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh, and while they allowed a run in the top of the eighth, they scored three right back. However, their bats ran out of gas by the bottom of the ninth, sealing the 10-7 loss. Kennesaw State pitcher Ty Bayer earned the win, improving his record to 3-2.
