The post Red Wings Fall to Senators, Drop to 10th in East appeared first on Detroit Hockey Now . Dylan Larkin Bo Derek was a perfect 10, but the Detroit Red Wings aren’t. A 3-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday at Little Caesars Arena dropped the Red Wings into 10th place in the NHL’s Eastern Conference, putting their playoff hopes in serious jeopardy.
Carter Yakemchuk, one of two Ottawa defensemen making their NHL debut, contributed a goal and an assist to the victory. Ottawa raced to a 3-0 lead. Brady Tkachuk tipped home a Tim Stutzle shot during a Senators power play to open the scoring.
In the second period, Yakemchuk and Lars Eller scored for the Senators. Dominik Shine got one back for the Red Wings before the end of the frame. The Red Wings finally get on the board as it's Dominik Shine with the re-direct!
