Tiger Woods makes his season debut in the TGL Finals after disc replacement surgery, aiming to help Jupiter Links avoid elimination.
PALM BEACH GARDENS — Tiger Woods is making his season debut on Tuesday night in the TGL Finals . Woods, 50, warmed up at the SoFi Center on March 24 ahead of Game 2 of the TGL Finals. He hit a variety of shots around the green as well as full shots into the TGL screen.
The 15-time major champion's first shot of the TGL season was a 25-foot birdie putt to win the opening hole. He left it short and Jupiter Links settled for par, ultimately splitting the night's first hole. Jupiter Links is looking to stave off elimination against Los Angeles Golf Club.
He will join Max Homa and Tom Kim against Los Angeles Golf Club's team of Justin Rose, Sahith Theegala and Tommy Fleetwood. He is less than six months removed from a disc replacement surgery, which came seven months after he suffered a ruptured left Achilles tendon. Woods has attended every Jupiter match this season , acting as the team's coach.
