This is largely on account of Lewandowski receiving financially lucrative offers from other leagues, including Saudi Arabia and the MLS. Lewandowski has received lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia.

But in order to remain at Barcelona, Lewandowski would have to cut his salary to a third, which is a tall ask from a player currently in the twilight of his career. Another key deterring factor will be his role in the Barcelona team.
The Catalans ideally want the Pole to serve as a backup and cannot guarantee him regular game time. This is in contrast to prospects in Saudi Arabia, where he will be the outright star and a first-choice option for any club he wishes to join. Not to mention, Lewandowski will receive a much higher salary with virtually zero taxes.
Therefore, it won’t be surprising to see the former Dortmund striker leaving Barcelona this summer.
