He's baaaack…almost. Matías Soulé returned to training today and should be ready to go for Inter Milan after the break.

Playing for three managers in one season isn’t ideal for any footballer, especially a U-23 still trying to find their footing as a professional.

So when Gian Piero Gasperini was hired as Roma’s new manager last summer, many pointed to Soulé as the biggest beneficiary of Gasperini’s attack-first philosophy. With seven goals and five assists in all competitions in approximately 2,200 minutes, Soulé was Roma’s most dangerous player during the first half of the season. Without Soulé’s creativity, bravado, and ability to threaten the goal at a moment’s notice, Roma’s attack has relied heavily on Donyell Malen.

While the Dutch forward has taken Serie A by storm since arriving in January, carrying the entire attack on his shoulders is starting to weigh on him. But there is help on the way. 🐺👊 #ASRoma pic.

And lord knows, they’ll need all the help they can get in that match.
