Lakers’ Luka Doncic Scored 60, but That’s Not His Focus
During Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic’s historic 60-point game against the Miami Heat on March 19, the crowd in the Kaseya Center started chanting “MVP” for the six-time NBA All-Star. Doncic has never won an NBA Most Valuable Player Award. But in his first full season with the Lakers, the guard is making a strong case for himself in the MVP race.
“It was pretty impressive, especially an away game in Miami,” Doncic said after the Lakers’ eight straight victory, per ESPN . “You hear the whole crowd chanting, ‘MVP,’ that’s what I think every player wants to hear. … I got a lot of goosebumps, so it was pretty special.
