Sources indicate that Chelsea do not intend to carry out a formal performance review of Rosenior before the summer of 2027. Qualification for the Champions League remains the club’s objective this season. However, failure to reach that target would not automatically place Rosenior under threat.
Chelsea believe it would be unfair to judge the manager solely on results achieved after taking over midway through the campaign. The only scenario that could change the club’s stance would be a dramatic collapse in form during the closing weeks of the season. At present, there is no expectation within the club hierarchy that such a downturn will occur.
Chelsea still have several objectives to pursue before the season ends. The club remain involved in the FA Cup and will face Port Vale in the quarter-finals. They also remain within touching distance of the Premier League’s Champions League qualification places.
