It's not rare to see trades on the final few days of spring training. The Athletics and Tampa Bay Rays agreed to a deal on Monday, sending infielder Cooper Bowman to the Rays in exchange for right-handed reliever Gerlin Rosario. Neither player has made their Major League debut, and Bowman is a former fourth-round draft pick of the New York Yankees in 2021 from the University of Louisville.

The 26-year-old spent most of last year at Triple-A Las Vegas, hitting . 236 with six home runs and 21 stolen bases in 72 games. He was caught stealing just once, so the Rays are acquiring a speedster.

A's acquire right-hander from Dominican Republic Rosario, 24, spent last year at High-A Bowling Green. He signed with the Rays as an amateur from the Dominican Republic and posted a 2. 27 ERA in 47.
