That put an end to a fun and energetic team that had seemed to find its groove over the second half of the season, as Wisconsin fell short in the final seconds on a go-ahead layup to lose 83-82 last Thursday.
This year’s Badgers team wasn’t nearly as complete as last year’s squad, which earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, especially on the defensive end, but they still provided for a lot of memories, most notably with the team’s top wins this season. Wisconsin had one of the best resumes in the country with wins over Michigan, Purdue, Michigan State, and Illinois (2x) this season, which helped them earn a No.
