Auburn football is among the top four teams vying for 4-star tight end George Lamons.
Auburn football has made the cut for a four-star tight end from Georgia. George Lamons, a four-star tight end from Brooks County High School in Quitman, Georgia, recently revealed his top four teams, with Auburn making the cut. At this stage in Lamons' recruitment, Auburn is in a tight battle with Alabama, Florida, and Louisville.
Lamons de-committed from SEC rival Texas A&M last July and has drawn the attention of plenty of teams, including Auburn, since. Lamons recently visited Auburn during a spring practice session and was pleased with what he saw on the field and with how well he was received. โTheyโre climbing up my list,โ Lamons said of Auburn in a recent interview with Chad Simmons of Rivals .
Lamons has an official visit scheduled with Auburn for June 12, the next-to-last visit of the summer he will take. He is also slated to visit Florida on May 28, Louisville on June 5, and Alabama on June 19. Auburn is the favorite to land Lamons according to projections from both Rivals and 247Sports, but the Tigers must fight off the Cardinals, Gators, and the Crimson Tide, and put on a successful official visit in June to lock in Lamons' signature.
Lamons is the No. 11 tight end in the 2027 class according to Rivals' Industry Ratings , and the No. 26 overall recruit from Georgia in the cycle.
