Jannik Sinner breaks Novak Djokovic record to make tennis history in Miami
Jannik Sinner has set a new milestone by claiming his 25th and 26th straight sets at ATP Masters 1000 tournaments. Sinner got the better of Corentin Moutet with a 6-1, 6-4 win in the third round of the Miami Open, where he’s playing as the second seed.

He’s now the highest-ranked player left in the field after Sebastian Korda knocked out world number one Carlos Alcaraz in the same round.

The Italian has now surpassed Novak Djokovic’s previous record of 24 straight sets, moving his own tally up to 26.
He last dropped a set at this level in October 2025. That streak was extended with an efficient performance against Moutet, needing just one hour and 11 minutes to complete the win. Sinner finished with a solid stat line, hitting 23 winners against 19 unforced errors and winning an impressive 87% of his first-serve points.
Next up for Sinner is Alex Michelsen, who enters their match with Sinner holding a 2-0 head-to-head advantage. Michelsen booked his place in the round of 16 by beating Alejandro Tabilo. The American has also claimed wins over Cameron Norrie and Mattia Bellucci in Miami and is one of several home players still in contention.
