Florida State has taken their recruiting search to the state of New York as they have offered 2028 four-star edge Cam Toomey.

Florida State lost a commitment from 2028 three-star wide receiver Lamar Garrison early last month. That hasn't stopped them from diligently searching for another. They have one of the top prospects in the class on their radar.

He is four-star edge Cam Toomey out of Saratoga Springs, New York. He took to social media on Monday to announce that he's received an offer from FSU. "Extremely blessed to receive an offer from @FSUFootball ‼️," Toomey wrote .

The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder is coming off a pretty impressive sophomore campaign. He finished with 36 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, five sacks, 19 quarterback hurries, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three blocked field goals. Toomey also contributed on offense with eight receptions for 98 yards and one touchdown as a tight end, and he racked up 77 rushing yards.

Toomey is the No. 44 overall recruit nationally and the No. 5 edge per 247Sports composite rankings.
