Broncos host 2 defensive linemen on pre-draft visits
The Broncos brought in a pair of defensive linemen for pre-draft visits, including a fourth-round prospect.
After losing John Franklin-Myers during NFL free agency, the Denver Broncos will likely shore up their defensive line depth during the NFL draft next month. The team recently brought in two prospects for pre-draft visits: Missouri's Chris McClellan and Cal's Aidan Keanaaina. McClellan shared a photo of his visit to the team's facility on his Instagram story , and Keanaaina's visit was reported by KUSA-TV's Mike Klis .
McClellan (6-4, 313 pounds) is a massive prospect who ran a 40-yard dash in 5. 05 seconds and bench-pressed 225 pounds 25 times at the NFL combine. He totaled 48 tackles (eight behind the line), six sacks and two pass breakups in 13 games with the Tigers last fall.
McClellan spent the final two years of his college career at Missouri following two seasons at Florida. NFL mock drafts have him projected as a fourth-round prospect . Keanaaina (6-3, 320 pounds) is from Brighton, Colorado, and he played prep football at Mullen High School, so he's eligible to visit the team as a "local prospect" who does not count against the 30-visit limit.
He spent four years at Notre Dame and two seasons at Cal, totaling 56 tackles and 1. 5 sacks last season. Keanaaina is considered a late-round or undrafted free agent prospect.
