The Stoke City loanee, 20, was out for three months after sustaining the injury in mid-December and made his second start since returning in Saturday's convincing 4-0 win at Shrewsbury Town. After Crewe raced into a 2-0 lead after just eight minutes, Tezgel played a key role in two further goals after half-time, providing an assist for Josh March to score his second goal before sealing victory himself with his side's fourth on 70 minutes.
It was Tezgel's 14th goal of an impressive season in his 29th appearance. "No-one likes to be injured and I was sat there watching all the games, just dying to be on the pitch," he told BBC Radio Stoke. "Delighted to get back on the scoresheet - obviously confidence for a striker is massive - so I'm very happy and hopefully we can carry on and get back to where we were.
"[I'm] so very grateful to be back and hopefully I can see out the rest of the season. "I think we're in a good place," Tezgel said.
"Obviously, we lost a few games and drew the game before [Shrewsbury] but we know where we are and where we can be. "We back what we have in the changing room and we know where we want to be and what we're working towards, so we've just got to keep putting the effort in and see where it takes us. " Crewe are at home to another side vying to clinch a top-seven finish, Oldham Athletic, in their next game on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
