Prep Roundup: Brewer edges West Morgan in battle of Morgan County teams
Mar. 24—SOMERVILLE — Brewer's baseball team used a big fifth inning to come away with an 8-6 win over West Morgan on Monday night. The Patriots scored five runs in the fifth to build a 7-3 lead and then held on for the win.
Bryson Stump hit a three-run home run for Brewer, while Jack Carnell added two hits and two RBIs. Titan Partlow and Cole Thorn each led West Morgan with a hit and two RBIs. — Decatur Heritage 11, Lexington 6: Reed Rogers had a hit, two RBIs and scored two runs to lead Decatur Heritage.
Rafer Jones added two RBIs and Briley Barron had two hits. — Lindsay Lane 24, Belgreen 8: Grayson Miller, Lincoln Conn and Wyatt Wallace all hit home runs in a big win. Miller finished with four hits and five RBIs, while Wallace had two hits and two RBIs and Conn had a hit and five RBIs.
Cooper Abernathy added two hits and three RBIs. — East Lawrence 11, Colbert County 6: Jaxon Parker had three hits for East Lawrence and also drove in two runs. Daniel Izquierdo and Malikhai Orr each added a hit and two RBIs.
