Woods is set to tee it up in Match 2 of the TGL finals with his Jupiter Links team facing elimination in the best-of-three series against Los Angeles. He will team up with Max Homa and Tom Kim against Justin Rose, Sahith Theegala and Tommy Fleetwood, replacing Kevin Kisner for Match 2. Woods co-founded the indoor league with Rory McIlroy but has yet to play due to a series of injuries that have also kept him sidelined from PGA Tour events.
The 50-year-old most recently tore his Achilles in March 2025, then underwent major back surgery in October 2025. His last competitive event was the 2024 Open Championship, where he missed the cut. The last time Woods made the cut was the 2024 Masters, and Tuesday's appearance could well be a test run for a return to Augusta this year.
Despite the 15-time major winner's lengthy absence, the Masters website says "Tiger Woods is making his 27th Masters start in 2026," prompting speculation about his status. While working his way through a made-for-TV match at an indoor stadium is a far cry from walking the fairways of Augusta National, Tuesday will provide an indicator of where Woods' game stands and whether fans might see him back in the Masters or another major in 2026. Here's everything you need to know to watch for yourself.
