James Hagens Signs With Boston Bruins
James Hagens has signed an ATO with the Boston Bruins, choosing to start his professional career after two excellent seasons at Boston College. The #NHLBruins have announced that James Hagens will sign an AHL amateur tryout agreement (ATO) and report to the Providence Bruins. 📰: https://t.

He immediately lived up to the billing, putting up 37 points in 36 games in his first year at BC. He was even better as a sophomore, when he lead the team in scoring with 47 points in 34 games and making it all the way to the top 10 of Hobey Baker voting. Hagens also skated in the World Junior Championship in both of his two seasons at BC, representing the United Skates and putting up 16 points in 12 games over the two tournaments.
Hagens was selected seventh overall by the Bruins is the 2025 draft and will have a chance to join the team in the midst of a late season playoff push. Congrats to Hagens on two fantastic seasons at BC and best of luck to him as he starts his professional career.
