Hubert Davis Update
No word yet, but a decision may not be far away

Three intriguing developments: first, the final Hubert Davis Show of the year was canceled. Second, post-season meetings with UNC players have been postponed. And third, Elijah Davis, Hubert’s son who is on the team, has allegedly scrubbed his social media of UNC connections.
None of that is definitive, but they’re interesting individually, and together, striking. But we’ll see. Hubert’s support has been late, but we’ve seen more of it.
UNC legend Larry Brown came out in favor of keeping him, while CBS analyst Jon Rothstein also has urged UNC to retain him, and makes a reasonable argument . Some of the former UNC players, while unwilling to criticize Davis directly, have called for change of some sort. The most recent we saw was Justin Jackson.
