The Kansas City Chiefs ' wide receiver room faced numerous issues, with players unavailable for various reasons. The injury bug crept up on one of the team's fastest targets, affecting him starting from Week 1. Xavier Worthy was projected to be a significant part of Kansas City's game plan last season, but that was derailed after an accidental collision with teammate Travis Kelce.
He played through the pain after missing a few games, but has since the end of the season had successful surgery to repair his torn labrum. Dial it up to Xavier Worthy on 4th down DETvsKC on NBC Stream on @NFLPlus + Peacock pic. twitter.

The catchphrases and touchdown celebrations were infectious, and the group's fans quickly got behind them. "I mean, it's ā nobody is selfish," said Worthy during a press conference last season, "It's a selfless team; everybody is willing to do the dirty work, and everybody is going to do their best and what's best for the team.
" Worthy finished the 2025 season with 42 receptions for 532 yards and a touchdown. He also had 11 rushes for 87 yards in 14 games played. A healthy 2026 season will change the complexion of the offense as the Chiefs will rely on the former first-round draft pick to help return to the top of the league.
