Community player ratings from Chelsea’s worst performance … so far

And this weekend’s 3-0 surrender to Everton did indeed manage to avoid those lows.

But it did come close top the “top” three, just barely rating higher than the 5-0 defeat against Arsenal a couple years ago. (Three of the four worst have now all come in the last few seasons; not a coincidence! ) That said, we’re still just in March and have plenty of games left to keep lowering our standards.

My theory may yet get put to the test. 3. 02 — Manchester City 6-0 Chelsea (2019.

II. 10. ) In what still remains a true statement, it’s tough to see (a modern era) Chelsea ever “topping” this performance and result, which remains the team’s worst loss in three decades.
