South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley is rocking two Balenciaga pieces of clothing during the March Madness game vs USC.
COLUMBIA — South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley is rocking a Balenciaga shirt and jacket while her Gamecocks are playing in the second round of the Women's NCAA Tournament . Over the last few years, Staley has become what some describe a fashion icon, sporting designers like Gucci and Louis Vuitton. South Carolina is playing Southern Cal on March 23 in Colonial Life Arena with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line.
When the No. 1 seed Gamecocks (32-3) beat No. 16 Southern 103-34 in the first round on March 21, Staley was wearing some Gucci.
Typically, Staley wears certain brands in South Carolina colors or at least in the similar shades of garnet, white and black. Assistant coach Lisa Boyer is sporting a shirt that reads "Gucci, I love you," which isn't completely unusual though most of the staff wears Under Armor issued team apparel. In June, the school will switch to Nike, which will likely enhance Staley's closet as she's been partners with the brand since her WNBA days.
