JJ Quinerly returns home to inspire young athletes
WVEC-TV JJ Quinerly returned to her roots Monday, hosting a basketball camp at her former school for middle and high school girls. The Dallas Wings guard and Lake Taylor High School alum led campers through a series of drills focused on skill development, teamwork and game fundamentals. The session concluded with full-court five-on-five games.
Participants also had the opportunity to take photos with Quinerly and receive hands-on instruction from the standout guard. Quinerly said returning home carried special meaning and credited the support from the community as motivation as she prepares for her second season in the WNBA.
