Report: Bayern Munich, PSG ‘keeping an eye’ on Freiburg’s Johan Manzambi
FC Bayern needs to look no further than the Bundesliga for midfield reinforcements.

At the moment, the Bavarians are well-equipped: Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlović, Tom Bischof are all in the pipeline and there could be a promising youth team option next season, too, in Noël Aséko Nkili.
However, Leon Goretzka is departing in the summer, and the experienced veteran will leave shoes that need filling. Since Bayern can be flexible, it makes sense to cast a wide net, and that is exactly the nature of transfer rumors at this position. While the Bavarians have been heavily linked to Hertha BSC wonderkid Kennet Eichhorn, he isn’t the only young option on the radar.
The latest name to be added to the mix is another domestic league breakout: SC Freiburg’s Johan Manzambi. From Swiss outlet Blickch, as captured by @iMiaSanMia : Bayern and PSG are among top clubs keeping an eye on Freiburg and Switzerland midfielder Johan Manzambi (20) following his breakthrough Bundesliga season, which saw his market value rise from €8m to €30m [@Blickch] For a young player with upside, that is the kind of price that may fit the bill — provided Bayern believes in him enough. It is a price tag that should squeeze out a lot of other Bundesliga clubs but will be no trouble for a top club.
Especially when frequently, young players with a spot of hype start landing in the €50-60M range — but maybe, that is where a bidding war could land him. But it’s way too early to speculate more than that, and for now, Manzambi is one name among many.
