Standout safety reclassifies to 2027, recruitment picking up
One of the top safeties in the 2028 class has opted to reclassify to the 2027 class with his recruitment picking up steam.
Yesterday, recruit Pole Moala was viewed as one of the top safety prospects in the 2028 class. According to 247 Sports Composite, Moala was the No. 4 safety and No.
47 player overall in his class. But after a decision today, the 6-foot, 165-pounder is now considered one of the strongest safety prospects in the 2027 class, as he's reclassified up a year. Speaking to Rivals' Greg Biggins on the decision, Moala revealed that the programs already recruiting him saw it as a positive to enter college a year earlier than expected.
"I feel I’m ready and it’s an opportunity that I didn’t think I could pass up," he said. "All the colleges that were recruiting me said they liked me even more if I came out early so I didn’t see any drawbacks to it and it’s going to be an exciting opportunity going through the process and taking my visits.
