19-Year-Old Boxer Isis Sio Awake After Scary Knockout Leaves Her in Coma

A 19-year-old professional boxer is awake and talking after spending nearly 48 hours in a medically induced coma following a knockout loss over the weekend. Isis Sio received medical attention for further checks after a knockout defeat to undefeated prospect Jocelyn Camarillo in a fight that lasted only 78 seconds on Saturday night. Sio was carried out of the ring on a stretcher and immediately taken to the hospital.

According to BoxingScene, which ProBox TV owns, Isis Sio spent the weekend in a medically induced coma and was awakened on Monday. ProBox TV states that Isis Sio has now been removed from the ventilator and is breathing on her own. She is not yet well but is recovering well.
