Odessa Family YMCA partners with Odessa Drillers to launch Jr. NFL Girls Flag Football, Lil YMCA Drillers Cheer
The Odessa Family YMCA is proud to announce a new community partnership with the Odessa Drillers and Raising Canes to introduce Jr. NFL Girls Flag Football and Lil YMCA Drillers Cheer programs. The organizations will celebrate the partnership with a Community Launch Party on Friday, April 10, from 4-7 p.
m. at Mike Neely Park, located next to the YMCA at 3001 E. University Blvd.
The event will bring families together to celebrate girls in athletics while introducing the new programs to the community. Raising Canes will distribute swag bags during the event, and the first families to register will receive special prizes and game tickets. Registration for the programs opens March 19 and closes April 19.
Arena games will be hosted at the Ector County Coliseum beginning May 16. The partnership will also be featured during the YMCA’s annual Healthy Kids Day celebration on April 18. “We believe this partnership will strengthen our community and provide girls with opportunities to grow through sports, teamwork, and leadership,” Odessa Family YMCA CEO Crissy Medina said in a news release.
