Packers bring back Arron Mosby
Mosby was a core special teamer for the Green Bay Packers last season, once he was activated to the 53-man roster

This was previously reported by Easton Butler on Thursday, but Pro Football Talk confirmed that Mosby officially was signed by the Packers, per the league wire, on Monday.
Butler stated that Green Bay signed Mosby to a minimum deal, while PFT hasn’t reported contract details. The Packers desperately needed some bodies at the 3-4 outside linebacker position, since they only had Micah Parsons (injured), Lukas Van Ness, Barryn Sorrell, Brenton Cox Jr. and Collin Oliver on the entire offseason roster before the Mosby signing, since the team didn’t add a single player by way of reserve-futures contracts.
Mosby is mostly a special-teams player, suiting up for 221 special teams reps in 2025 compared to just 17 on defense, 88 percent of which came in the junior varsity season-finale against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 18. Last season, Mosby became a vested veteran, meaning that if he makes the Week 1 roster in 2026, his full season’s salary is fully guaranteed, which will be an important factor at the cutdown deadline. My guess is that the Packers will try to sneak Mosby on their practice squad, like they did last season, and then bring him up to the active roster as a special teams ace at some point mid-season when injuries start to stack up and roster spots start freeing up.
Despite Mosby not even being on the 53-man roster until Week 10 in 2025, he still finished fourth on the team in special teams reps, if that gives you any indication of how often he’s on the field in the kicking game.
