UEFA Women’s Europa Cup Preview: Eintracht Frankfurt vs. BK Häcken Eintracht Frankfurt host BK Häcken at the Brentanobad on Wednesday evening as the sides will contest for a place in the inaugural UEFA Women’s Europa Cup final. Both the semi-finals and final of the competition will be two-legged affairs.

Laura Freigang’s hat-trick against the newly-promoted HSV extended Frankfurt’s lead over Hoffenheim in the race for Frauen-Bundesliga third place on the weekend. If Niko Arnautis’ side maintain their spot, they will enter the qualifying stage of next season’s Champions League. A defeat against Real Madrid ended their hopes of returning to the tournament they won in its inaugural season.

Eintracht will now have a chance to win UEFA’s brand new competition as a 7-2 triumph over Nordsjælland booked them a place in the Europa Cup last four. The 2025 Damallsvenskan champions are through to the cup final courtesy of 18-year-old Felicia Schroder’s hat-trick in an extra-time win over Djurgårdens. The two teams are the highest scorers so far in the maiden Europa Cup.

Danish midfielder Pernille Sanvig will be back at her parent club as she's playing on loan for Hacken from Eintracht Frankfurt. This is the first European semi-final for Häcken in both men’s and women’s football. Fellow Swedish side Hammarby will face Sparta Prague in the other tie, with the first game set to be played in Prague.
