Florida gymnastics top seed in NCAA Tempe Regional after SEC Championship
Florida gymnastics is heading to the Valley of the Sun and the NCAA Tempe Regional after its dramatic SEC Championship Saturday. Which teams are joining the Gators?
Florida gymnastics holds a simple mentality for the remainder of the season: One championship down, one more to go. Monday, the Gators learned what will be the first step in that second leg of the journey – to the Valley of the Sun. UF will head west as the top-seeded team in the NCAA Tempe Regional and the No.
3 overall seed – behind Oklahoma and LSU in that order. Joining the Orange and Blue is No. 6 Georgia, No.
11 Michigan State, No. 14 Cal, Penn State, BYU, Southern Utah, Arizona and Arizona State. The Gators celebrated the reveal with a watch party at the Heavener Football Training Center pool.
The regional begins Thursday, April 2, with two quad meets. Florida will be in a meet with Cal, Penn State and either Arizona or Arizona State. The Wildcats and Sun Devils will compete two days prior in a “play-in meet.
