Travis Kelce is returning to the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2026 NFL season and possibly beyond. Here's a breakdown of Kelce's contract details.

Travis Kelce is getting paid a pretty penny to remain with the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2026 NFL season – at least on the surface. Kelce officially signed a contract extension with the Chiefs on March 23. A person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports' Tyler Dragon the deal will be worth a maximum value of $57.

735 million over three years. If the full value of Kelce's deal is realized, he would become the highest-paid NFL tight end in terms of average annual value (AAV) at just under $19. 25 million.

George Kittle had the previous market record of $19. 1 million. However, Kelce's deal is backloaded, so it isn't clear how much – if any – of the future-year money he will receive.
