Since 2016, they have been crowned AL Central champions six times, including going back-to-back in 2024 and 2025. They finished the season strong last year, overtaking the Detroit Tigers , who they would match up against in the ALWC, losing the series 2-1. After the season concluded, there wasn't much news coming out of Cleveland.
They did not do much in terms of bringing in new players over the winter, while teams like the Tigers and the Chicago White Sox were kept plenty busy over the offseason. This included signing two relievers, Colin Holderman and Shawn Armstrong. Outside of the bullpen arms, the team came to terms with Rhys Hoskins on a minor league deal. Hoskins is the biggest pull here, and he has recently made the Opening Day roster for the club.
