The Chicago Cubs are currently down a man with Seiya Suzuki down with an injury he suffered during the World Baseball Classic.
Now, they need to replace the firepower he brought in the lineup. While he isn’t an outfielder, FanSided’s Mark Powell believes that the Cubs could trade for the New York Mets ’ young slugger Mark Vientos. While he just had a down year, his upside is incredible.

Instead, the slugging designated hitter is coming off the worst season of his career in 2025. He's unreliable in the field, as well, which doesn't help his chances of getting consistent playing time…At this rate, a trade seems more likely than not. The Mets have better internal options, not to mention the numerous hitters available via free agency or trade.
