Naz Reid has high praise for former Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Luka Garza
"It was fun, I told him. He was at the free throw line, I was like ‘(expletive), you got stronger,’" said Reid.
It might not have been the revenge game reserve Boston Celtics big man Luka Garza was likely hoping for against his former ball club. But the Bosnian-American center still had a solid outing vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves in Boston's 102-92 loss at TD Garden on Sunday (March 22) night.
Putting up 5 points, 6 rebounds and an assist, Garza's game got the attention of former Minnesota teammate Naz Reid. "It was fun, I told him. He was at the free throw line, I was like ‘(expletive), you got stronger’ but it was good -- good to see him actually get real minutes in play and affect the game.
" "And we all knew he can, it’s just good to see it being done on another team and in a real game situation," added the Timberwolves big man. "So, I think that goes to the work that he put in, the way that he changed his body, and the hard work and dedication that he brings to the game," said Reid. "I’m sure they love him here, we loved him in Minnesota, so I can only imagine how it is in Boston.
