Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Joshua Dobbs is reportedly set to be released by the New England Patriots.

On Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the New England Patriots were planning to release backup quarterback Josh Dobbs . Rapoport added that the Patriots' decision to sign quarterback Tommy DeVito to a two-year, $4.

He was waived by Jacksonville in September 2020. The Steelers claimed Dobbs off waivers shortly after, where he remained until signing with the Cleveland Browns in 2022. He went on to have a few more stints with the Detroit Lions (2022), Tennessee Titans (2022), Browns (2023), Arizona Cardinals (2023), Minnesota Vikings (2023), San Francisco 49ers (2024), and Patriots (2025).
