Lerone Murphy reveals he tore his hip flexor in his loss to Movsar Evloev at Saturday's UFC London.

Lerone Murphy revealed he did injure his hip in his bout at UFC Fight Night 270. Murphy (17-1-1 MMA, 9-1-1 UFC), a featherweight title contender, suffered his first professional defeat this past Saturday, losing a majority decision to Movsar Evloev in the main event of the card – which took place at The O2 Arena in London. Toward the end of the fight, Murphy complained about potentially having injured his left hip.

On Monday, in a post on his Instagram stories, Murphy revealed he tore his hip flexor during Round 4 of his bout against Evloev (20-0 MMA, 10-0 UFC). He appeared in the video to be getting cold therapy on the injured area. 🚨 Lerone Murphy reveals he tore his hip flexor in round 4 pic.

"I loved every second of the fight," Murphy wrote on Instagram. "I thought I done enough to take the first 3 rounds although it was close. A draw at the very least with the point deduction, but on to the next.
