Dave Roberts Defends Tanner Scott After Poor Outing
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts uplifted Tanner Scott despite his disastrous outing against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. Scott, after a strong start to the spring, has looked shaky in his last two appearances. He allowed his first earned runs of spring against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, and things only got worse against the Angels.
The southpaw lasted just 0. 1 innings, allowing three hits and a walk as well as four runs. Roberts didn’t seem concerned, though, and revealed he’d likely be going to Scott during Monday’s game at Dodger Stadium as well.
“I thought the stuff was really good,” Roberts said. “…I think tonight, for me, he’ll be in there tomorrow to clean up an inning. I thought the stuff was good tonight.

Roberts has also been impressed with the left-hander throughout the spring. “Tanner Scott looked fantastic,” Roberts said .
