Would Tyreek Hill make sense for the Bucs in 2026?

The Bucs could look for an explosive wide receiver this offseason, could Tyreek Hill be the answer?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reeling from the loss of Mike Evans in free agency. Despite that, the team still boasts the likes of Chris Godwin and Emeka Egbuka, as well as Jalen McMillan, who could see a big bounce back in 2026 after missing most of last season due to a neck injury. For the Bucs, they still need to have someone who can stretch the field the way that Mike Evans was able to.

That problem could be solved by making a run at veteran Tyreek Hill, who found himself as a cap casualty in Miami this offseason. CBS Sports' Brad Crawford recently discussed the prospects for teams with a need at the wide receiver position and why it would make sense for them to make the move. Crawford hypes up the idea of a team signing Hill, writing, "Hill's 11,363 career receiving yards rank ninth-most by a player in his first 10 seasons inย NFLย history, and his 28 touchdowns of 50 yards or longer are the fourth-most all time.

Despite last season's injury, Hill should command considerable interest from a list of playoff-anxious suitors in need of a reliable target in the passing game. " Hill will be a controversial idea, but it would be a win-now move by the Bucs. It would also keep in line with the team always looking for veterans on the market who can come in on a one-year deal to help the team capitalize on a small window.
