Jets host divisive QB prospect for pre-draft workout

2 quarterback, and it would behoove Darren Mougey and Aaron Glenn to draft a backup who could maybe develop into Smith's successor. The Jets are doing their homework on one of the potential options. SNY is reporting that the Jets had a number of Penn State players at the facility for private workouts this past weekend.

Former Nittany Lions quarterback Drew Allar was among them. Hughes states that team decision makers watched Allar throw the football. He's one of the most divisive quarterback prospects in this class.

A naturally gifted thrower with elite physical tools, Allar occasionally struggles with accuracy and footwork, especially when under pressure. If he can smooth out the rougher edges of his game, there's a lot of untapped potential to explore. Allar threw the football well at the NFL Combine.
