Mick Cronin's blunt answer about what it will take for a deep UCLA run
After the Bruins were bounced by UCLA in the Round of 32 on Sunday night, Mick Cronin said that the Bruins need more investment to make a deep run.

Mick Cronin's team reached the Final Four in 2021 and the Sweet 16 in the two seasons that followed, but it has yet to reach the second weekend for the third straight season. After the game, Cronin was his typical blunt self when asked what it would take to get UCLA back to making deep runs in the NCAA tournament.
"Right now, I'm worried about tonight, consoling the guys," Cronin said when asked if anything needed to change with roster construction and approach. Then, Cronin added, "I'd like about five more million (dollars), that's my answer. " āIād like about 5 more million (dollars).
