SEC football recruiting rankings after elite OL commits to Georgia
Georgia currently holds one of the top 2027 recruiting classes in both the SEC and in the nation after landing a commitment from Ty Johnson
The Georgia Bulldogs recently landed a commitment from elite 2027 offensive line prospect Ty Johnson , as the Dawgs continue to add to an already impressive recruiting class. Georgia currently holds one of the top 2027 classes in all of college football, and coach Kirby Smart and his staff have shown no signs of slowing down on the recruitment trail. Georgia currently has the No.
3 recruiting class in both the SEC and the No. 4 class in the country following the addition of Johnson, sitting behind just the Texas A&M Aggies and the Oklahoma Sooners . Oklahoma currently holds the No.
1 recruiting class in both the conference and the nation, as the Sooners have sent a clear message to the rest of the SEC throughout their recruiting trail this offseason. Oklahoma has taken care of business early in the 2027 cycle and will look to retain their current class, which is already shaping up to be elite. Georgia currently holds a commitment from seven total recruits in the 2027 class, while Texas A&M has 10 and Oklahoma has an impressive 19 total commitments.
The SEC currently has just five teams that rank among the nationโs top-20 recruiting classes, per 247Sports . Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Georgia, Texas and Missouri are the only current teams in the top-20 representing the conference, as the SEC is expected to see a major surge in talent from the 2027 class as we get closer to next year. Georgia will continue to add talent following the addition of Johnson as well, as the Dawgs continue to dominate the college football recruiting world.
